Do I need to get solar to charge my Tesla?

There is no need to upgrade to solar to charge your Tesla. There may be some advantages however. Read more below.

Charging a Tesla at home is the preferred way for most Tesla owners. In most states, major power providers have created special times in the day where you can charge a Tesla for a lower cost.

For example in California, PG&E allows you to charge your Tesla from 11 pm to 7 am. Simply notify them of your electric car purchase and they will update your account with the plan.  Go here for more info.

If you wish to save a bit more on your bill, switch up to Solar panels. Solar cells once installed become the primary source of power. In case of power outage or need to add power, your power provider becomes the backup.

You can buy Solar panels from the below providers. Installing a power supply takes a few weeks.
