Electric cars are faster because they required fewer parts and external elements. For example, a gas engine requires cool air in high volumes, high-quality gas, and optimized components to make it fast. However, an electric car doesn't depend on any of these. An electric motor is self-contained and doesn't require outside components to improve its performance. Additionally, the power from an electric motor is almost instantaneous.
